Multi-Year Opportunities
It takes many volunteers to make our club run successfully. Here is a listing of current volunteer opportunities within the club:
Fields Coordinator
Executive Board – Non-voting Position
The fields coordinator is an exisiting position responsible for coordinating the usage and upkeep of all Augusta FC rec and travel fields. This involves regular communication and meetings with the City of Waynesboro and Augusta County as well as other organizations that allow us to use their property each season. It also involves the coordination with volunteers and vendors for seasonal fields maintenance, pre-season field marking, goal maintenance, pre-season and post-season field put up and take down as well as travel field allocation. This position will also be an integral part of a committee involved in the design and construction of our new 30 acre soccer facility.
Merchandise Manager
Executive Board – Non-voting Position
The merchandise manager is a newly created position responsible for managing and coordinating our vendor relationships for all uniforms and club merchandise. The manager will work with both the rec and travel committees to coordinate seasonal uniform orders. The manager will also oversee our vendors use of approved artwork, the quality of their products and their efforts to work with the club to meet our advertising and financial goals. The manager will also help the Communications Director manage the club’s artwork.
Newsletter & Content Manager
Executive Board – Non-voting Position
The club is looking for a talented and motivated person to work with our Communication Director, Website Manager and Graphic Artist to manage our website content, develop a seasonal (twice yearly) newsletter and help coordinate our marketing and advertising pieces. If you have experience in this area, and would like to be a part of our club's communication efforts, then please contact us.
Volunteer Coordinator
Executive Board – Non-voting Position
If you are talented at finding and motivating volunteers, then we need you. This position will be responsible for managing our volunteer base and will work with the board and the committees to help find and coordinate volunteers throughout the year as needed.
Seasonal Opportunities
In addition to the opportunities above, we need help in these areas each and every season:
Fields:
Pre-season field measurements and goals setup & post season take down
Registration:
Help with flyer and sign distribution and possibly database management in our registration system
Referees:
New volunteers to take certification courses and fill in our ranks (see the referee page under “Get Involved” on this site)
Head & Asst. Coaches:
New volunteers to take education courses and fill in our coaching ranks (See the coaches page under “Get Involved” on this site)
Team Managers:
To help our coaches manage their teams at both the rec and travel levels.
