Volunteers

We need your help! It takes many volunteers willing to commit their time and talents to make our club run successfully. We have seen a tremendous amount of growth in the last several seasons as well as experiencing our normal turn over of volunteers. Here is a listing of current volunteer opportunities within the club:

Board Positions

Treasurer
Executive Board – Officer & Voting Position
The treasurer is a club officer and has a voting position on the executive board. This person is responsible for all financial aspects of the club and the position requires several hours each week. This person will also be expected to develop a firm understanding of all aspects of the club and its mission, take part in board discussions and be an integral part of the management and growth of the club moving forward. The current treasurer will be with the club until April and is willing to train.

Rec Program Committee
RPC – Voting Positions
There are currently 4 open voting positions. RPC voting members do not have to take on specific responsibilities but are expected to be willing to develop a firm understanding of the club and its mission and apply those principals to the management of the rec program.

Travel Program Committee
TPC – Voting Positions
There is currently 1 open voting position. TPC voting members do not have to take on specific responsibilities but are expected to be willing to develop a firm understanding of the club and its mission and apply those principals to the management of the rec program.

Club Registrar
Executive Board – Non-voting Position
This position is part of the executive board and is one of our more demanding volunteer positions. This person is responsible for the oversight and maintenance of our third party registration software (Blue Sombrero) and all program registrations run throughout the year. This position requires a computer savvy individual who is comfortable working online within a third party application and who has the time and resources to be online during the day and help registrants at various times throughout the year via phone. During peak registrations (3-4 times each year) this position can require 5 or more hours a week.

Communications Director
Executive Board – Non-voting Position
This person is a member of the executive board and is responsible for all advertising & marketing. The focus of this position for the near future will be to establish a sponsor program at every level of the organization. This structure has already been created and we now need a talented individual with the time and resources to implement and oversee it. This position may require an hour or more each week to get going.

Newsletter & Content Manager
Executive Board – Non-voting Position
This person is a member of the executive board and will work with the President, Communications Director, Committees and Web Administrator to help manage our website content, develop a seasonal newsletter and help coordinate our marketing and advertising pieces. This person should be comfortable working in MS Office including Publisher or other similar PC and/or Mac programs and have some experience in this area. This position may require an hour or more on regular occasions as club needs dictate.

Risk Manager
Executive Board – Non-voting Position
This person is a member of the executive board and is responsible for all volunteer and player safety for the club. Primary responsibilities involve collecting and submitting Kid Safe forms for rec league volunteers as well as managing our insurance policy through the state association. This position requires several hours at the start of each rec season and a few more hours throughout the year.

Volunteer Coordinator
Executive Board – Non-voting Position
This person is a member of the executive board and is responsible for overseeing the recruitment of new volunteers for the club. This position requires an enthusiastic person who believes in the club and its mission and can rally volunteers to fill club positions. This person will also be responsible for collecting and maintaining the names of volunteers willing to help with specific functions throughout the year as needed.

Fields:
Pre-season field measurements and goals setup & post season take down

Registration:
Help with flyer and sign distribution and possibly database management in our registration system

Referees:
New volunteers to take certification courses and fill in our ranks (see the referee page under “Get Involved” on this site)

Head & Asst. Coaches:
New volunteers to take education courses and fill in our coaching ranks (See the coaches page under “Get Involved” on this site)

Team Managers:
To help our coaches manage their teams at both the rec and travel levels.
