Travel Teams

Augusta FC offers a Travel Program for players who are looking to take their game to a higher level. We sponsor boys and girls travel teams for U11 - U18. These teams offer an opportunity for players to improve their skills and play against quality competition throughout the Shenandoah Valley and the surrounding area. Travel teams conduct tryouts each May for the following Fall and Spring seasons. A travel team commitment is considered a two season commitment for the U11-U13 age groups and a Fall only commitment for U14 and above due to JV and varsity soccer in the Spring. Under certain circumstances, arrangements may be made with each individual travel team coach and we encourage potential players to attend tryouts and discuss their individual situations with the coaches. Registration periods are in June following tryouts for the coming Fall season, and again in December for the U11-U13 groups playing a Spring season. For the younger groups, fees are assessed each season (twice per year).

Travel soccer is a competitive program and all interested players are encouraged to try out, but not all players will make the team. Playing time is usually earned, not guaranteed, and is at the discretion of the head coach. Coaches are trained and licensed and the focus is on player development. Travel soccer demands a greater level of time and monetary commitment and players are expected to attend twice weekly practices, all games, and one or more out of town weekend tournaments each season.
